Innovative and Exciting Alcohol Ink Artwork
Using her mixed media approach with alcohol inks, water soluble markers and watercolor, Vicky brings depth and vitality to her images allowing viewers to be emotionally involved, their memory released by familiar and distant times. Her strong sense of design and abstract structure invite the observer into the painting. Attention to detail is very important, whether she is painting plein air or in her studio. Her impressionistic artwork reflects the dreamlike beauty of the Colorado high country.

Vicky graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University, with post graduate work in Art Education at the University of Northern Colorado. She now lives and teaches in Loveland, Colorado.

As an artist/instructor Vicky enjoys sharing her passion for art with her students. Whether using alcohol ink, watercolor, pastel or mixed media, her teaching style consists of demonstrating art techniques in steps toward a completed painting. She allows her students to experience the process of art making in a fun and relaxed environment.
